First Meeting Determination Strengths Accomplishments and Challenges - 12-12-2019
Summary:
Our first of three strategic planning meetings took place on December 12, 2019. The event included over 130 participants, involving the voices of district teachers and staff members, administrators, students, alumni, parents, community members, and members of our Board of Education. At each table setup were places for all stakeholders to share their perspectives openly. Through this interactive dialogue, each group was charged with coming to a collective consensus, and subsequently, a preliminary series of topics and themes emerged at each table in reviewing our school district’s strengths and challenges. From here, a “gallery walk” took place where all participants moved about the workspace to review each table’s reflections that were posted on large chart paper. The collective discussion was both productive and authentic.
For those of you not able to attend, we ask that you provide your own thoughts regarding our school district’s strengths and challenges. And even if you were not able to come to our first evening of strategic planning, information will be available in inviting you to our upcoming final two evenings of strategic planning on February 6, 2020 and April 23, 2020. We look forward to hearing from you!
