We Need OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITIES for Strategic Planning starting Dec. 16
Over the past five years, our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan called “The Mahwah Blueprint" informed our progress toward well-defined goals. It emerged from a collaborative process through which all community members could share their perspectives about our district’s points of pride and areas for growth.
It was so successful that we’re leveraging the same process to set a blueprint for the next five years, and we expect the community to once again play a pivotal role.
Please join us as we re-imagine, together, what Mahwah Township Public Schools can look like through the next five school years!
- December 16: Strategic Plan kickoff meeting at Joyce Kilmer School’s gymnasium, starting at 6 p.m. and expected to wrap at 7:30 p.m.
- An outside facilitator will guide the collective process of gathering information from our respective points of view.
- March 12 and April 9: Future meetings will be used to synthesize our thoughts to crystallize into Strategic Blueprint 2025-2030, and will also work collaboratively to define the unique Flight of the Thunderbird. Joyce Kilmer School's gymnasium.
If you are interested in joining us, please complete this RSVP so that we can plan our venue accordingly.
If you are not able to attend this session, be on the lookout for a follow-up survey that will allow anyone in the community to provide input. Your participation in the March and/or April sessions will still be valuable and appreciated even if you cannot attend the kick-off in December.
The 2020-2025 Mahwah Blueprint was formed after a series of town hall meetings during which community members shared their points of view about our district’s potential. That feedback served as the basis for our four frames through which our work has been dedicated: those items connected to Curriculum and Instruction, Social-Emotional Learning, Community Connections, and Facilities.
We are looking forward to framing out the next five years, and we hope you join us for this important work!
