Mahwah Parent Group

All children are unique and have a variety of learning styles. Frustration can develop in children and their families when this learning style difference is misunderstood. Our group focuses on enhancing a parent's understanding of the various ways to help children become successful by not only addressing their weaknesses but also highlighting their strengths. Through the use of current resources that are available, we can help our children understand their learning styles and help them to advocate for themselves. This will enable our children to be more confident to approach all their academic tasks in the future. During the year we plan to have a diverse group of speakers, video presentations and literature that will provide parents with information on a variety of topics. Our group supports all parents whose children are in district as well as out of district, Pre-K - 12. All parents, teachers and students are welcome to attend these meetings.
