Dear Mahwah Families,
In the event that you and your family are adversely affected by the government shutdown and require assistance with food and resources, we are here to help you. Counselors in schools have information about additional community assistance programs.
As a reminder, Mahwah Schools participate in the free and reduced lunch program. This assistance program is designed to provide students with a nutritious meal during the school day. The application for this service can be found here. You can also call your child’s school for assistance in completing this form.
Below is a list of local food pantries where you can receive food assistance. It is important that you follow the requirements and bring identification with you. Use this checklist before your visit.
