Dear Lenape Staff and Families,
Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year. I am thrilled to be back for another school year at Lenape Meadows, working alongside my assistant principal, Dorothy Eason. We would like to say “Welcome back” to our first, second, and third-grade students and families, and extend a very warm welcome to our new kindergarten children and family members. We are excited to have you as part of our Lenape family.
Mrs. Eason and I are excited to continue working with our dedicated and innovative teachers, continuing to build upon the success that is already occurring at Lenape Meadows. We are excited to continue our strong instruction within Reader’s workshop, Writer’s workshop, Everyday math, Word Their Way, and Knowing Science. We are also looking forward to the integration of our Maker Space classroom into our science instruction and the continuation of our practice of Mindfulness. We firmly believe that all students should be provided a safe, caring, and vibrant learning environment that offers rigorous instruction, while also focusing on building caring and honest relationships with one another. It is the combination of academic excellence and appreciation for self and for others that will allow our students to develop into life-long learners. It will take all of us – teachers, staff, parents, and community members – working together to ensure that our students are provided with a well-rounded, high-quality education.
We are looking forward to working with all of you throughout the school year. We encourage you to join our active and supportive HSO and to participate in the wonderful activities that we have planned for the upcoming school year.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you may have. We are looking forward to a great 2018-2019 school year at Lenape Meadows!
Dawn and Dorothy
