Curriculum and Instruction

Welcome to the Mahwah Township Schools Department of Curriculum and Instruction webpage. Guided by the Mahwah Township Public Schools Strategic Plan 2025–2030, the Office of Curriculum and Instruction works in partnership with educators, administrators, families, and the broader community to design intentional and personalized learning experiences that foster intellectual curiosity, lifelong learning, and student success.

Our work is rooted in educating the whole child by supporting students’ academic growth, social-emotional development, and personal well-being. Through differentiated and innovative curriculum, problem-based and real-world learning opportunities, and the purposeful use of technology, we strive to develop future-ready learners equipped with the skills, autonomy, and resilience needed for college, career, and life beyond the classroom.

Aligned with state and federal standards, our curriculum extends beyond traditional learning experiences to encourage intellectual risk-taking, creativity, and critical thinking, while cultivating empathetic national and global citizens. Together, we are committed to maintaining world-class learning environments that empower all students to thrive and take flight as confident, capable members of an ever-changing world.
