Mahwah Township Public Schools invites the community to the official launch of its new Strategic Plan, The Flight of the Thunderbird 2025–2030. Its unveiling will be the featured segment of the Board of Education meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at the Administrative Offices (60 Ridge Road).

Our new 5-year Strategic Plan, titled The Flight of the Thunderbird, which was a collective effort with our community, will be fully rolled out at the start of the school year. Our short and long-term focus continues to be on ensuring high-level curriculum & instruction, strengthening community connections, maintaining & enhancing our facilities, and continuing to support both social & emotional well-being of all our students.

The Spring 2025 issue of Thunderbird Times was mailed to all homes in Mahwah Township to be sure everyone in the community – beyond parents of current students – feels connected to MTPS schools.

Mahwah High School was selected as a 2024-25 STEM School of Excellence by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA). This prestigious annual award recognizes schools that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to providing students with a robust STEM education program.
